I remember this stop fondly. Creativity was everywhere, and the opportunity to engage and craft a whole palette for learning and connection felt limitless. It’s a wonderful memory and a major learning milestone. Let me share how it all unfolded.
In 2015, WellSpan sought new ways to enhance internal communication across clinical departments. I proposed an internal podcast platform—Wellcast—which launched in 2016. Over two years, Wellcast became a key resource, supporting training, engagement, renovations, accreditation, and Epic integration. Check out the details of the Wellcast project below!

Sepsis Education
To promote awareness and improve the early recognition of sepsis, I collaborated with medical leadership to create a three-part podcast series that encompassed the definition, treatment, and care of a sepsis patient.

Stroke Education
In 2016, WellSpan Health began their quest to become a Level One Stroke center and obtain their Comprehensive Stroke Certification. Over the next 16 months, I worked with various departments throughout the organization to create a serial podcast series that helped facilitate this objective.
In August of 2018, WellSpan Health obtained both their Level One and Comprehensive Stroke Certifications, becoming the region's destination for advanced stroke care.

Behavioral Health Education
To help create a better environment for our behavioral health patients, I worked with clinical psychologists, and other behavioral health experts to develop a three-part informational series that dismissed myths, defined care, and encouraged positive engagement.
I also created an additional podcast that talked about employee mental health, stress, and burnout.
